The students will have some time during class to work on their project, but may need to work on their project at home so that it is finished and can be presented in class on Friday, May 9th. SPELLING – Our spelling list this week consists of 5 words with definitions and 5 more words. The students will have until next Monday, November 24th to study these 10 words. We will take our spelling test on Monday, the 24th since we only have 2 days that week. This will give the students a bit more time to adjust to this amount of words, plus definitions. (The spelling menu assignment using the November spelling menus will still be due on Friday, November 21st.)

LITERATURE – (No Homework) Reading Comprehension –Week 15(Compare & Contrast and Making Inferences), A Christmas Carol unit begins this week. We will be reading a modified version of the story and will be doing a wide variety of activities such as summarizing, main idea, character traits, comparing & contrasting, writing, cause & effect, figurative language, comprehension, developing a timeline, and learning new vocabulary. We will be working on this unit until Christmas break.
